Gaffer for Corporate Video, Atlanta (Entry Level)
Hey filmmakers, I'm looking for a gaffer for an upcoming corporate video project here in Atlanta. This project is a series of interviews and some B-roll, focused on a local tech startup. It's a professional tone, but we want it to feel fresh and engaging, not overly dry. We're aiming for a clean, polished highlighting their innovative space. As our gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan, working closely with the Director of Photography to achieve the desired aesthetic. This includes setting up and striking lights, managing power, and ensuring proper diffusion and shaping of light. We'll be using a mix of LED panels and some practicals. This is an entry-level position, so if you're passionate about lighting and eager to gain set experience, this is a great opportunity. You should have a foundational understanding of lighting principles and safety. Please have your own basic lighting tools, like gels, clamps, and gloves. Experience with various LED fixtures is a plus. A short lighting reel or examples of your previous work would be helpful, even if it's student or personal projects. The shoot is tentatively scheduled for two days in late March, exact dates TBD, 10-hour days. We'll provide all the primary lighting instruments and grip gear. Paid at a flat rate of $250/day. Let's make something great together!
