1st AC, Feature Film (LA)

A coming-of-age drama about a young musician rediscovering his voice after a family tragedy. We're an independent production seeking a skilled 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming feature film shooting in Los Angeles. This role is crucial for maintaining focus, organizing camera equipment, and assisting the DP on set. You'll be responsible for pulling focus, changing lenses, setting up camera support, and ensuring the camera department runs smoothly. We're looking for someone with experience on narrative sets, ideally features or shorts. You should have a strong understanding of various camera systems (Arri, Red) and excellent attention to detail. Please include a resume and any relevant reel or project links demonstrating your camera department work. The shoot is planned for approximately 3-4 weeks starting early October 2026, with 10-12 hour days. We'll provide lunch and craft services on set, and transportation will be handled by crew. This is a flat rate of $250/day. Open to all experience levels, but ability to hit the ground running is key.
