1st AC (First Assistant Camera), Feature Film
Hey film fam, I'm posting for an indie feature, a gritty crime drama with a noir vibe, set here in LA. It’s a compelling story with some really intense visual opportunities. We're looking for a skilled 1st AC to join the crew. You'd be responsible for maintaining focus, pulling focus during takes, overseeing lens changes, and assisting the DP with camera setup and breakdown. Basically, keeping our camera department running smoothly and our shots sharp. You'll need to have experience with professional cinema cameras (ARRI, RED, Sony Venice preferred) and have your own essential focus pulling kit. A strong reel showcasing your focus pulling skills on similar projects is a must. This is a mid-level position, so we're looking for someone with a few features or significant shorts under their belt. We're shooting for about 20 days, mostly overnight, likely starting late summer or early fall. We'll provide necessary camera bodies, lenses, and support equipment. This is a passion project for a small production company, so compensation is deferred, with a percentage of backend profits. It's a chance to work on a really exciting story with a dedicated team.
