Cinematographer for Independent Documentary, Dublin

Documentary Cinematography Dublin, IE entry Budget: $150-300/day

Hey everyone, Liam here (focus puller mostly). I'm seeking a capable Cinematographer for an independent documentary project filming in and around Dublin. This is an intimate, character-driven piece exploring the resurgence of traditional Irish craftsmanship. We're aiming for a naturalistic, observational style with a touch of lyrical beauty, so someone with a good eye for composition and natural light is key. Your main responsibilities will include working closely with the director to establish visual approach, operating the camera on set, managing lighting (often natural or minimal setups), and overseeing DIT. You'll need to provide your own camera package (ideally something versatile for documentary, like a Sony FX6/9, Canon C70, or similar, with a basic lens kit). Previous experience on documentary or factual productions, even at an entry level, is a big plus. Please have a reel or some work samples ready to share. Shoot dates are approximate, looking at 6-8 days spread across October/November, with potential for some B-roll pickups. Days will be 8-10 hours, some travel involved within the Dublin area. We'll cover transport on shoot days, lunch, and any necessary production-specific insurance. This is a great opportunity to get some significant DP credits on a compelling story. Looking forward to seeing your work!
