Senior Cinematographer, Web Series (Sci-Fi Comedy)

Hey filmmakers, Camille here. I'm a production designer working on an independent web series and I'm looking for an experienced, creative Senior Cinematographer (DP) who can bring our vision to life. This is a five-episode sci-fi comedy web series, think 'Community' meets 'Rick and Morty' but with a distinct, stylized aesthetic. We're aiming for a vibrant, slightly absurd, yet polished look that really pops on smaller screens. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the director and myself to establish the visual language, leading a small camera team, lighting sets, and shooting all principal photography. We're looking for someone who can work efficiently and innovatively within a controlled environment, making the most of practical effects and clever framing. You'll need to have your own camera package (cinema-grade, capable of 4K, along with a basic lighting kit) and a strong portfolio demonstrating your cinematography skills, especially in visual storytelling and comedy. Previous experience with web content or short-form narratives is a plus. We anticipate shooting for approximately 10-12 days over a 3-week period, likely in late July/early August, with 10-hour days including breaks. Location will be primarily studio-based in the Los Angeles area. We'll provide all production design elements and a dedicated crew to support your department. Looking forward to seeing your work!
