1st AC (Focus Puller) - Feature Film, Montreal

Shooting in Montreal, QC during the last week of August 2026, this independent feature film needs a dedicated 1st AC. We're looking for someone to join our small, passionate crew for this dramatic thriller about an unexpected journey, focusing on character and visual storytelling in a naturalistic style. The project has a gritty, grounded feel with a few tense, suspenseful sequences. It's a fantastic opportunity to contribute significantly on an ambitious project. Key responsibilities include precise focus pulling, managing lens changes, maintaining camera equipment, and assisting with camera setup and breakdown. You'll work closely with the DP and Steadicam operator to ensure smooth camera operation on set. Applicants should have some previous 1st AC experience, a solid understanding of camera systems (preferably RED or Arri, though specific model TBD), and excellent attention to detail.
