Cinematography for Music Video

We need a skilled Gaffer to light an upcoming alternative rock music video. This project is a gritty, high-energy performance piece with some stylized, abstract narrative elements. We're aiming for a raw, dynamic visual style, pushing dramatic contrast and color. You'll be working closely with our Cinematographer to execute their vision and bring creative lighting solutions to the set. Key responsibilities include managing the lighting package, setting up and striking lights, power distribution, and collaborating on creative lighting design. We're looking for someone with entry-level experience on music video or short film sets, a strong understanding of lighting principles, and a good attitude. While we'll be renting a lighting package, having your own basic kit (stands, stingers, clamps) is a plus. Please include a link to your reel or relevant work samples in your application. Shoot dates are approximately 1-2 days, anticipated for early September 2026, with an additional half-day for prep. This is a paid position, $500-800/day, based on experience and gear contribution. Lunch and craft services will be provided on set.
