1st AC (Focus Puller), Toronto Music Video

Shooting in Toronto during the first half of October 2026, we're seeking a skilled 1st AC for an independent music video production. This project is for an emerging R&B artist, featuring stylish, dreamlike visuals and dynamic camera movement to match the track's soulful energy. It's a great opportunity to contribute creatively to a visually ambitious piece. You'll be responsible for maintaining critical focus, assisting with lens changes, setting up and striking camera equipment, and general camera department support under the Director of Photography. We're looking for someone with reliable access to a follow focus system, preferably wireless, and essential tools for lens and camera maintenance. You should have some prior experience pulling focus on set, ideally for music videos or short-form narrative work, and a reel or portfolio demonstrating your focus pulling abilities. This is an entry level role, perfect for someone looking to build their experience. The shoot is currently planned for 1-2 days, with an estimated 10-hour day. Water, snacks, and lunch will be provided on set. Compensation will be discussed based on experience.
