Cinematography for Web Series
Seeking a talented Camera Operator for an upcoming independent web series. We're planning to shoot in late September 2026, about 4-5 full days in Nashville, TN. This is a paid position, offering $150-300/day depending on experience and gear contribution. Our series is a dark comedy, blending quirky humor with underlying dramatic tension, focusing on the misadventures of a small-town detective. We're aiming for a visually engaging, slightly off-kilter aesthetic that supports the comedic and dramatic elements equally. As Camera Operator, you'll be responsible for executing the Cinematographer's vision, operating the camera (mostly a single-camera setup, some B-cam work), and ensuring all shots are technically sound and artistically aligned with the project's tone. This includes setting up shots, maintaining focus, framing, and movement during takes. You'll work closely with the DP and Gaffer to achieve desired lighting and blocking. Required: You should have 3+ years of experience as a Camera Operator on narrative projects, a strong reel demonstrating your skills, and proficiency with cinema cameras (Blackmagic, Canon C-series, Sony FX series, etc.). Ownership of a reliable camera package (including lenses, tripod, monitor, batteries) is a significant plus, but we may have limited gear available depending on your kit. Professionalism, a collaborative attitude, and a good sense of humor are essential. Craft services will be provided on set.
