1st AC, Music Video (October 2026)

An independent production is seeking a skilled 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming music video project. This is a high-energy, visually driven track blending pop and hyperpop genres, with a vibrant, neon-drenched aesthetic that promises exciting creative opportunities. We're aiming for a dynamic, stylized look that complements the song's upbeat tempo. Key responsibilities include pulling sharp focus, managing camera equipment (including lenses and accessories), and assisting the DP in all camera department operations. You will be instrumental in maintaining the workflow and ensuring the camera package is prepped and ready. Applicants should have demonstrable experience as a 1st AC, ideally with music video or commercial work. Please have your own follow focus system and basic lens cleaning kit. Experience with cinema prime lenses and wireless video systems is a plus. A strong reel showcasing your focus pulling abilities is required. We anticipate a 1-2 day shoot, likely occurring in mid-October 2026, with 10-12 hour days. A prep day might also be required. Specific dates are TBD but will be communicated well in advance. Lunch, snacks, and craft services will be provided on set. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate on a fun, independent project in the Los Angeles area.
