Senior 1st AC, Mumbai Short Film (Oct 2026)

We need an experienced 1st AC to join our independent short film crew, ensuring our camera department runs smoothly from day one. This is a dramatic short, exploring themes of resilience and memory, with a visually driven narrative that relies heavily on precise focus pulling and efficient camera operations. We're aiming for a stylized, intimate aesthetic. You'll be responsible for all aspects of camera prep, building and breaking down camera rigs, pulling sharp focus, managing media, and troubleshooting any on-set camera issues. You'll work closely with the Cinematographer and Director to achieve our creative vision. We're seeking someone with a strong professional reel showcasing senior 1st AC experience on narrative projects, ideally short films or commercials. Must have your own follow focus system, monitor, and basic tool kit. Experience with cinema cameras (ARRI, RED, Sony Venice) is essential. Our shoot is scheduled for 1-2 days in the second half of October 2026, with 1-2 days of prep/testing beforehand. Expect 10-12 hour days. Lunch and transportation to set will be provided.
