1st AC, Short Film (NOLA)

Looking for a skilled 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming independent short film shooting in New Orleans. This is a suspenseful drama with psychological thriller elements, exploring themes of isolation and perception. It's a character-driven piece with a tight script, set in a single, evocative location. We'll be relying on precise focus pulls and clean camera work to build tension and enhance the story's emotional impact. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining critical focus and assisting with lens changes and camera setup. Experience with Arri Alexa Mini LF is a plus, although we're open to working with different gear setups. Please have your own follow focus system and basic tools. A strong reel showcasing your focus pulling skills and a good attitude are essential. The shoot is tentatively scheduled for 3-4 days in late July, exact dates TBD, with 10-12 hour days. We'll provide craft services and meals on set.
