1st AC, Short Film - Oct 2026

We're looking for a 1st AC for a 2-day shoot during the first half of October 2026, paying $150-300 per day depending on experience. This is for an independent production, a dramatic short film about a young woman navigating grief and discovery, with a grounded, intimate, and emotionally rich tone. Our goal is to create a visually poetic piece that resonates deeply with audiences. Your key responsibilities will include pulling focus with precision, managing camera builds, assisting the DP with lens changes and camera setup, and ensuring all camera equipment is handled professionally. You'll be working closely with a small, dedicated crew. We require applicants to have their own basic toolkit, including a focus-pulling setup (follow focus, lens gears), and ideally experience with mirrorless or smaller cinema cameras. Please have at least 1-2 short film credits as a 1st AC and a recent reel or examples of your work. While we're looking for someone with experience, this is an entry-level opportunity for those looking to expand their portfolio. We will provide the camera body, lenses, and a basic monitor setup. The shoot days will be approximately 10-12 hours, with some potential for a half-day prep. Location will be around London, UK. We value strong communication and a collaborative spirit.
