Camera for Pilot

An independent production is seeking a dedicated A Cam Operator for an upcoming pilot. This is a gritty, character-driven drama set in the criminal underworld of Los Angeles, exploring themes of loyalty and consequence with a raw, naturalistic tone. We're aiming for a cinematic feel on a tight schedule. You'll be primarily responsible for operating the A camera, framing shots according to the DP's vision, and ensuring consistent image quality. We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience in camera operation, particularly on narrative projects. Please have a strong understanding of camera movement, blocking, and storytelling through composition. You should also ideally have access to your own camera package (e.g., Blackmagic Pocket, RED Komodo, or similar cinema camera) along with a basic lens kit and support. A reel showcasing your operating work is essential. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days in late August 2026, likely 10-12 hour days. We'll provide craft services, a positive work environment, and a commitment to telling a compelling story. This is a partnership opportunity, offering co-producer credit and backend participation for the right fit.
