Camera Operator for Chicago Corporate Video

Corporate Video Camera Chicago, IL mid Budget: $500-800/day

An independent production is seeking a skilled Camera Operator to join our small team for an upcoming corporate video project in Chicago. This project involves a series of engaging interviews and B-roll footage highlighting a local tech startup, focusing on their innovative culture and product. The tone will be professional yet dynamic, aiming for a modern, high-quality aesthetic. We're looking for someone who can translate our creative vision into compelling visuals. Key responsibilities include operating a primary camera (likely a C300 Mark III or similar, provided by production), managing shot composition, ensuring proper exposure and focus, and collaborating effectively with the director and gaffer. You'll be instrumental in capturing the authentic energy of the company and its employees. Applicants should have at least 3-5 years of experience as a Camera Operator on corporate or documentary-style productions. While production will provide the main camera package, you should be familiar with professional cinema cameras and their workflows. Please submit a reel demonstrating your operating skills, especially your work with interviews and dynamic B-roll, and highlight your experience with cinematic lighting setups. Experience with basic camera maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus. This is a paid position, offering $500-800 per day, based on experience. We anticipate a 2-3 day shoot window sometime in October 2026, with typical 10-hour days. Production will provide camera equipment, basic grip and lighting, and catering on shoot days. Travel and local accommodation are not provided for Chicago-based talent.
