1st AC, Web Series (Volunteer)

An independent production is seeking a dedicated First Assistant Camera (1st AC) to join our team for an upcoming web series. This project is a darkly comedic drama, exploring themes of urban loneliness and unexpected connection through a stylish, slightly surreal lens. We are aiming for a visually rich aesthetic that balances grounded realism with subtle fantastical elements, making it an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a unique reel. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining critical focus and assisting the Cinematographer with all camera-related tasks, including gear setup and breakdown, lens changes, and general camera department management. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of camera systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. While prior professional experience is a plus, we are open to all experience levels; a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a solid understanding of camera basics are most important. Please provide a reel or examples of previous work if available. This is a volunteer position offering credit, meals, and an excellent opportunity for collaboration. The estimated shoot dates are approximately 1-2 days per week for about 3 weeks, beginning around September 17, 2026. We will be shooting on an Arri Alexa Mini LF. Some of your own basic AC tools would be helpful, but major gear will be provided.
