Editing for Music Video
Hey filmmakers of Brooklyn, my name is Omar and I'm looking for a talented editor for an upcoming music video project. We're creating a visually driven piece for an ambient pop artist, focusing on natural light, atmospheric textures, and some really cool, subtle VFX (nothing crazy, just enhancing the existing footage). Think mood, emotion, and fluid transitions. We've got some great footage lined up and need someone to help craft it into a captivating narrative. Your primary responsibility will be assembling the raw footage into a polished final cut, incorporating the artist’s vision and our creative direction. You'll work closely with me and the artist to shape the story and feel of the video. Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (Premiere Pro preferred) is essential. While specific gear isn't required on your end (we'll provide the footage and music), having your own workstation where you can comfortably edit is a plus. This is an independent production, and we're open to editors of all experience levels, from rising talents to seasoned pros. What matters most is your creative vision and a strong reel showcasing your editing skills, especially any work on music videos or visually atmospheric projects. We anticipate a 2-day editing schedule, flexible around your availability, with potential for some additional freelance hours if needed for revisions. Compensation is competitive at $150-300 per day, depending on experience. We're aiming to shoot late May, early June, so editing would start soon after. Let's make something beautiful.
