Editor for Music Video

Hey Vancouver editors, I'm looking for a talented entry-level editor to cut a music video for an indie artist. This is a high-energy, visually driven track with a bit of a surreal, dreamlike aesthetic. We've got some really cool footage planned and I'm excited to see how a fresh perspective can bring it all together. Your main responsibilities will be assembling raw footage, creating a compelling narrative flow, and working closely with the director and artist on revisions. We'll be looking for someone with a strong sense of rhythm, story, and a good eye for visual effects integration, as we'll be adding some cool VFX touches in post. You should have your own editing setup (software and hardware), ideally DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro. Please have a reel or some work samples that showcase your editing style and demonstrate your ability to craft engaging visuals. No specific minimum experience required, but a passion for music videos and a willingness to learn are key. Shoot dates are tentatively set for early August, so editing would begin shortly after. Expect roughly 40-50 hours of work over a 1-2 week period. Compensation is paid, $500-800 per day, depending on experience. We'll provide all raw footage and any necessary assets.
