Editor, Web Series (Volunteer)

Hey filmmakers, Monique here! I'm a dialect coach working on an exciting upcoming independent web series and we're looking for a skilled editor to join our team. This is a dramatic comedy, think 'Atlanta' meets 'Insecure,' focusing on the hilarious and heartfelt struggles of a group of aspiring artists in LA. We have all our footage shot and are ready to move into post-production. We need someone to take our raw footage and craft compelling episodes, focusing on pacing, story flow, and bringing out the comedic timing. You'll be responsible for assembling scenes, rough cuts, fine cuts, and collaborating on sound design and color grading. We're looking for someone with about 2-3 years of editing experience, particularly with narrative projects, and a strong understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro. Please have a reel or some work samples ready to share. This is a volunteer position, but you'll get full credit, meals on days you're working with the team (if applicable), and a fantastic project to add to your portfolio. We're aiming for a final cut by late summer, so we’re looking for someone who can commit a few days a week, flexibly. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of what we believe will be a really special series.
