Editor for Music Video (Afrobeat/Pop)

Hey everyone, Natalie here (I'm a Location Manager, but helping a friend with this). We're looking for a skilled mid-level Editor for an exciting upcoming independent music video project in NYC. This is for an upbeat Afrobeat/pop track, a real high-energy dance piece with a vibrant, colorful aesthetic. Think dynamic cuts, creative transitions, and a strong sense of rhythm. We shot some really cool performance and stylized narrative bits that need to pop off the screen. You'll be responsible for all aspects of the edit, from assembly to final color and sound mix, working closely with the director. We need someone with their own editing setup, ideally with experience cutting music videos specifically. A strong reel showcasing your best work is essential. We're aiming for principal photography to wrap by late August / early September, with an edit period of about 2-3 weeks immediately following. This is a deferred compensation opportunity (points + deferred payment). We'll provide all the raw footage, music tracks, and a clear creative brief. Let's make something awesome together!
