1st AC (First Assistant Camera) - Pilot, Chicago

Pilot Camera Chicago, IL entry Budget: $200-400/day

Hey folks, I'm Robin, a storyboard artist putting together a team for an exciting independent production, a dark sci-fi/thriller pilot. We’re working with a tight budget but aiming for a visually striking, suspenseful, and character-driven story. This is a great opportunity to get some solid pilot experience and contribute to a really unique vision. I'm looking for a skilled and enthusiastic 1st AC to join our crew. You'll be responsible for maintaining prime lenses, pulling focus with precision, and assisting the DP with camera setup and breakdown. We need someone reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently on set. Ideally, you have some of your own focus pulling tools (monitors, follow focus, etc.), but we'll provide the main camera package (likely an early RED or Blackmagic). We're seeking someone with experience on at least a few short films or similar projects - a strong reel demonstrating your focus control is definitely a plus. Shoot dates are tentatively set for 5-7 days in late July/early August, 10-12 hour days. This is a paid position, offering $200-400/day depending on experience. Lunch and snacks will be provided on set. Let's make some cool stuff!
