Camera for Short Film

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for an experienced 1st AC to join our independent short film project, a high-concept sci-fi drama with a psychological thriller edge. Think "Arrival" meets "Coherence," exploring themes of memory and reality. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a deeply immersive and visually striking narrative. You'll be responsible for maintaining focus, pulling rack pulls, assisting the DP, and ensuring all camera equipment is handled professionally. We're looking for someone with around 3-5 short film credits, a solid understanding of various camera systems (think Arri, Red, Sony), and a keen eye for detail. Experience with wireless follow focus systems is a big plus. Please have a current reel showcasing your focus pulling skills. We're aiming for a 3-4 day shoot in late July, early August in Albuquerque. Specific dates are flexible but will be full days. We'll be providing all camera and lensing gear, along with meals and craft services on set. This is a partnership opportunity, offering a share in potential revenue from festival submissions and distribution. Looking forward to seeing your work!
