Camera for Pilot

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a skilled A Cam Operator for an upcoming pilot shoot in Los Angeles. This is a dramatic thriller, think psychological tension with a modern, gritty aesthetic. We're aiming for a cinematic feel that really draws the audience into the protagonist's unraveling world. You'll be responsible for operating the A camera, framing shots according to the DP's vision, and ensuring all technical aspects are spot on. We need someone who can work efficiently on set and has a sharp eye for detail. You should have significant experience operating on narrative projects, particularly with high-end digital cinema cameras (think Arri or Red). A strong reel showcasing your operating skills is absolutely essential. We're looking for someone who owns or has access to their own camera package, as well as a basic set of prime lenses. This is a senior-level position, so we expect you to be a proactive problem-solver and a great communicator. Shoot dates are approximately late June, early July, likely 3-4 shoot days per week, 10-12 hour days. We'll provide craft services, catering, and on-set support. Compensation is $500-800 per day, negotiable based on experience and gear package. This is an independent production but we believe in paying fair rates for talented crew.
