Camera for Short Film

Hey filmmakers, I'm Miguel, an independent drone operator putting together a small crew for an upcoming sci-fi thriller short film. This project delves into themes of artificial intelligence and identity, with a dark, suspenseful tone that offers some really cool visual opportunities. We're looking for a sharp 1st AC to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include pulling focus, maintaining camera equipment, and assisting our DP with lens changes and camera setup. We're aiming for a polished, cinematic and your attention to detail will be crucial. Ideally, you've got experience on at least a few short film sets and have your own essential kit (follow focus, matte box, etc.). Please have a reel or a list of projects you've worked on that demonstrates your focus-pulling skills. Approximate shoot dates are scheduled for late September, likely 3-4 days including a couple of overnight shoots. We're shooting in various locations around Los Angeles. This is a volunteer position, but we'll be providing all meals and a copy of the finished film for your reel. We're a passionate group and looking forward to making something special together.
