Screenwriting for Music Video

Looking for a talented mid-level screenwriter to help craft the narrative for an upcoming music video. This is for a dark pop artist, think Billie Eilish vibes but with a more surreal bent. We've got a strong concept outline involving a dream-like sequence and a subtle psychological thriller element, but we need someone to flush out the details, develop character arcs for our protagonist (the artist) and supporting visuals, and create compelling scene descriptions. This is an independent production with a passionate crew. Your primary role will be to take our existing ideas and turn them into a polished, visual treatment and a concise script, working closely with the director. \ \ We're looking for someone with a strong portfolio showcasing previous screenwriting for music videos, shorts, or even commercials with a narrative focus. Experience with psychological elements or surrealism is a huge plus. Please submit a reel or samples of your writing. \ \ The bulk of this work will be remote, but some in-person meetings in Vancouver, BC, might be required for brainstorming sessions. We're aiming to begin pre-production in late summer/early fall, so the script would ideally be completed within a 3-4 week timeframe from start date. Compensation is deferred, with points in the project. This is a great opportunity to get some unique work on your resume and collaborate with a creative team.
