Grip for Indie Doc (NY)

Documentary Lighting New York, NY entry Budget: $250/day flat

Hey everyone, Nelson here. I'm a Rigging Gaffer on an exciting upcoming independent documentary project here in NYC and we're looking for a dedicated Grip to join our team. We're telling a powerful, character-driven story that delves into a unique, often unseen corner of New York life. It's going to be visually compelling, with a focus on naturalistic lighting and capturing intimate moments. As our Grip, you'll be essential in supporting our lighting and camera departments, helping to shape the look and feel of our shots. Your responsibilities will include setting up and striking grip equipment, flags, nets, stands, and assisting with various camera support needs. This is an entry-level position, so while some basic experience on set is a huge plus, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are most important. You should have your own basic grip kit (gloves, C-wrench, etc.) and reliable transportation within the five boroughs. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are a must. We anticipate shooting for approximately 10-12 days over a 3-4 week period, mostly weekdays, with 10-12 hour days. Lunch and crafty will be provided on set. We're offering a flat rate of $250/day. Please include a brief resume or list of any relevant experience.
