Cinematography for Feature Film

Feature Film Cinematography Portland, OR any Budget: $2000-3000/week

Hey everyone, Chloe Nystrom here. I'm a Production Designer on an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Portland, OR, and we're looking for a talented Gaffer to join our crew. This is a dramatic comedy, think 'Little Miss Sunshine' meets a touch of magical realism, so we need someone who can help us craft a nuanced visual style, balancing grounded sincerity with moments of whimsicality. As our Gaffer, you'll be instrumental in translating the Director of Photography’s vision into practical lighting solutions. This means everything from shaping light to achieve specific moods, setting up and maintaining various lighting fixtures, and collaborating closely with our DP and electrics team. You'll help us create dynamic and expressive visuals for our story. We're open to all experience levels, but a strong understanding of lighting principles, safety protocols, and a creative eye are essential. Please have a reel or portfolio showcasing your work, even if it's from short films or personal projects. You should be comfortable working with a variety of lighting equipment. We can provide standard lighting packages, but let us know if you have any specialized gear you prefer working with. Shoot dates are approximately late October to mid-November, with a 50-hour work week expectation. Craft services, lunch, and good vibes will be provided. Compensation is $2000-3000 per week. We're a passionate crew, excited to make something special.
