Prop Master, Doc Series (Toronto)
Hey everyone, I'm a gaffer on an independent documentary series shooting in Toronto, and we're looking for a talented Prop Master to join our art department. It's a really interesting project exploring the history of forgotten local innovations, with a blend of archival footage and stylized recreations. We need someone who can help us source, create, and manage props that authentically reflect various historical periods, often with a slightly quirky or nostalgic tone. Your main responsibilities will include research, procurement or fabrication of props, set dressing, and continuity management. We're looking for someone with around 3-5 years of experience in prop management or a similar art department role, ideally with some documentary or narrative recreation experience. A solid reel or portfolio showcasing your work is essential. Shoot dates are approximately 4-6 weeks spread out over the next few months, typically 10-12 hour days. We'll provide transportation for larger props if needed. This is a paid position, offering $200-400 per day, depending on experience. If you’ve got a keen eye for detail and a knack for bringing history to life, we'd love to hear from you.
