Senior Art Director, Dark Comedy Web Series

Web Series Art Department Miami, FL senior Budget: Deferred pay

Seeking an experienced Senior Art Director to lead the visual world building for our upcoming dark comedy web series, "The Flamingo Filter." This independent production explores the absurdities of influencers in South Florida, blending humor with a subtly unsettling aesthetic. We're looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a knack for creating distinctive, character-driven environments, and a great sense of humor. Your responsibilities will include conceptualizing and executing set designs, sourcing props and wardrobe elements, collaborating closely with the director and cinematography team, and managing the overall art department budget and schedule. We need someone who can translate our script's unique blend of kitsch and unease into tangible, memorable visuals without a huge budget. We require applicants to have significant art department experience on narrative projects, with a strong portfolio or reel showcasing your ability to create diverse looks. Miami-based knowledge of local vendors and resources is a huge plus. While we don't expect you to bring a full personal kit, any specialized props or set dressing tools you own could be beneficial. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late September through early October, with a flexible schedule averaging 30-40 hours per week. Limited production design materials and a small prop budget will be provided, but your creativity and resourcefulness will be key. This is a deferred pay position, with a view towards festival submissions and distribution.
