Gaffer (or Best Boy) for Web Series, Brooklyn

Hey, filmmakers! My independent production is looking for a skilled Gaffer or Best Boy for an upcoming web series shoot in Brooklyn. This is a dramatic comedy, think 'Insecure' meets 'Awkward Black Girl,' with a really engaging script I'm excited about. We're aiming for a polished, naturalistic look with some stylish moments. As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan, working closely with the DP to bring our visual vision to life. This will involve setting up and striking lights, managing power, and ensuring a safe lighting environment. If you're a Best Boy, you'll be assisting the Gaffer with these tasks. We're open to all experience levels, from super experienced pros to talented folks just starting out in lighting, so don't hesitate to apply. Ideally, you'll have access to some basic lighting gear (stands, flags, stingers, practicals), but we'll be renting a small lighting package for the larger units. Please send over a reel or some examples of your work if you have them. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days spread across late June/early July, likely 10-12 hour days. Locations are mostly interiors. We'll provide craft services, lunch, and a positive, collaborative set. Pay is $100-200/day, depending on experience and gear contribution.
