Director: Independent Sci-Fi Feature (Deferred Pay)

Seeking an experienced Director for an upcoming independent sci-fi feature film, shooting in Brooklyn, NY. This project is a character-driven thriller exploring themes of memory and identity, with a grounded, atmospheric tone think early 'A.I.' meets 'Primer'. We're looking for someone who can bring a strong visual voice and articulate performances from our cast. You'll be responsible for creative leadership, guiding blocking and camera, and shaping the overall narrative vision from pre-production through the shoot. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 feature or numerous short film directing credits, a keen eye for visual storytelling, and a collaborative spirit. Please provide a directing reel or links to your previous work. While this is a deferred-pay position, we are committed to making this a rewarding creative experience and are actively pursuing festival distribution. Our UPM, Aiden Cross, is heading up logistical planning. Shoot dates are approximately 25 days, spread over October/November. Expect full days, likely 10-12 hours. We'll provide locations, crew, and production support. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact on an ambitious independent film.
