Senior Director, Miami Short Film

Seeking an experienced director for an ambitious independent short film. This dramatic thriller explores themes of isolation and redemption within Miami's vibrant, yet sometimes shadowy, art scene. We're looking for someone with a strong visual storytelling eye and a knack for drawing nuanced performances from actors. Key responsibilities include all aspects of creative direction, working closely with the producer and DP to execute the vision, and leading the crew through production. We need a director with a minimum of five years' narrative directing experience, a compelling reel showcasing their dramatic work, and a clear understanding of independent film production workflows. While we have basic production equipment, familiarity with diverse camera systems and lighting techniques is a plus. Shoot dates are TBD, but likely a 5-7 day shoot in late fall 2024, with flexible pre-production hours.
