Lighting for Feature Film

Hey everyone, Rohan Kapoor here. We're on the hunt for a seasoned Gaffer for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Mumbai. It's a dark comedy, really character-driven with some surreal elements, think Coen Brothers meets Wes Anderson in terms of visual style. We're looking for someone who can really bring their creative vision to the table and help us translate that unique tone into light. You'll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plan, leading the electrics team, and ensuring everything runs smoothly on set. We need someone who's not just technically proficient but also a problem-solver and a good communicator. You'll work closely with me to achieve our desired and creativity is key. Looking for someone with extensive feature film experience, specifically as a Gaffer. Please have a strong reel or portfolio showcasing your work on similar projects. Own lighting gear isn't required, but familiarity with a wide range of lighting equipment is. We'll be providing all necessary lighting packages. Shoot dates are tentatively set for late June through July, likely 10-12 hour days. Compensation is $100-200/day, depending on experience. Excited to see what you can do!
