Gaffer (Web Series, Deferred)
Hey filmmakers, we're on the hunt for a skilled Gaffer for an upcoming independent web series shooting right here in New York City. This is a dramatic thriller exploring the psychological toll of corporate espionage, so we're looking for someone who loves playing with shadows and crafting intense, moody visuals. We've got a tight-knit crew, and we're all passionate about bringing this story to life. As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan set by our DP, managing the lighting equipment, rigging, and ensuring everything is safe on set. You'll work closely with the Director of Photography to achieve the desired look and feel for each scene. We need someone with mid-level experience in lighting for narrative projects, a strong understanding of various lighting setups, and the ability to troubleshoot on the fly. Please have your own basic G&E kit (stands, stingers, clamps, etc.) though we will be renting larger lights. A strong reel showcasing your narrative lighting work is a must. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days spread across late May and early June, likely evenings and weekends. We're a deferred pay project, but we're committed to submitting to festivals and securing distribution. Lunch and snacks will be provided on set, and we'll ensure a collaborative and respectful work environment. Let's make something awesome together!
