Assistant Editor, Music Video

Hey filmmakers, Mateo here. I'm hitting you up because I need a talented Assistant Editor for an upcoming music video project in Auckland. We're working with a new indie artist on a track that blends alternative pop with a bit of a dream-pop vibe. The video concept is visually really cool, lots of layered imagery and atmospheric shots, so we need someone who can help keep everything organized and flowing smoothly in post. Your main gig will be ingesting footage, syncing audio (we're shooting with a separate sound recorder), creating dailies, and setting up initial assemblies. Basically, getting everything prepped for the lead editor and me. This is a great chance to get some hands-on experience on an independent production with a dynamic team. We're looking for someone entry-level, but you do need to be proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro. Having your own basic workstation (computer with Premiere, external hard drive) would be a big plus, but not strictly essential if you're amazing. Please send over a brief reel or some examples of your work, even if it's just student projects. Shoot dates are TBD near the end of April, and we anticipate post-production will be a few weeks, maybe 8-10 hour days. We'll provide lunch and coffee, of course. Looking forward to hearing from you!
