Editing for Web Series
Hey filmmakers, Rachel Adeyemi here. I'm a documentary editor, and I'm putting together a talented team for an upcoming web series that I'm co-producing. This is a gritty, character-driven drama set in the underground music scene of Brooklyn, think 'Atlanta' meets 'High Fidelity,' but with a unique visual style. We're aiming for a raw, authentic, almost documentary feel with a lot of kinetic energy in the edits. It's a passion project with serious potential for film festival runs and distribution. We're looking for a senior editor to take the lead on shaping this story. Your main responsibilities will include assembling episodes from dailies, collaborating closely with the director on story structure, implementing feedback, and ensuring a cohesive narrative flow across the series. We need someone who can work independently and creatively, bringing their own vision to the material. You'll need your own editing workstation (preferably Adobe Premiere Pro) and a strong reel demonstrating your storytelling abilities, especially with dramatic or character-focused content. Experience with episodic content is a big plus. We're aiming to begin post-production in late summer. This is a partnership opportunity, with compensation structured as a revenue share once the series is sold. We're building something special here in Brooklyn, and we're excited to find a seasoned editor to join us on this journey.
