Editor, Short Horror Film

Hey all, I'm working on an independent short horror film and we're looking for an Editor to join our small, passionate crew. This is a character-driven thriller, psychological and atmospheric, with some really unsettling visuals and a tight script I'm excited about. We're aiming for festival submission. We need someone to handle all post-production editing, assembling footage into a compelling narrative, finessing pacing, and ensuring continuity. You'll be working closely with the director to bring their vision to life. Ideally, you'll have your own editing suite and software (Premiere Pro preferred) and a strong reel demonstrating your storytelling abilities, especially in tension-building genres. This is a great opportunity to get some creative, impactful work for your portfolio. Experience level is open, whether you're just starting out or have several films under your belt. The estimated editing period is 10-12 days, flexible based on your availability and our director's schedule, primarily in late August/early September. We're offering $250/day flat.
