Production Designer, Indie Feature Film

Hey filmmakers, I’m Emma, a Props Master on an exciting independent feature film shooting in Bristol. We’re on the hunt for a talented mid-level Production Designer to join our team. This is a gritty, character-driven drama with elements of dark comedy, a really engaging script that delves into some complex human relationships against the backdrop of a working-class community. We're looking to create a visually rich, authentic world that truly elevates the story. Your main gig will be transforming our locations, sourcing set dressing, and collaborating closely with our Director and DP to bring their vision to life. You'll be overseeing the creative direction of all visual elements, from initial concept sketches to final set dressing. Experience working within a tight budget and an eye for detail are crucial. We need someone who can be resourceful and imaginative. Please have a strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating your experience in feature films or high-end shorts. Shoot dates are approximately late September to mid-October, five-day weeks, standard 10-hour days. We’ll provide a dedicated art department budget and local transport as needed. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on a compelling story with a passionate crew. Day rate is competitive, ranging from £150-£300, negotiable based on experience.
