Cinematography for Documentary
I'm a Production Designer working on an independent documentary feature in pre-production, focusing on indigenous artists in the Pacific Northwest. We're looking for a senior-level Field Producer who can also handle cinematography responsibilities on location. This isn't just about pretty pictures, it's about capturing authentic stories with sensitivity and a keen eye for observational narrative. You'll be responsible for planning and executing field shoots, managing small crews, conducting interviews, and obviously, operating camera. We're looking for someone with significant documentary experience, a strong reel showcasing your visual storytelling skills, and your own reliable camera package (ideally cinema-grade, capable of 4K). Shoot dates are flexible, primarily concentrated in 4-6 week blocks over the next 10-12 months. We'll provide some production support, travel expenses, and a collaborative, respectful environment. Compensation is points-based with deferred payment, typical for independent filmmaking. Excited to find someone who shares our passion for this important project.
