Gaffer for Brooklyn Music Video

Shooting a vibrant, independent music video in Brooklyn, NY, about the last week of September 2026, and we're looking for an experienced Gaffer. This project is for an indie pop artist, think colorful, energetic visuals with some intimate, stylized moments. We're aiming for a polished, cinematic look with dynamic lighting to complement the track's upbeat vibe and lyrical storytelling. It's a small crew, so a collaborative spirit is key. Your main responsibilities will include executing the lighting plan set by the DP, managing the grip and electric crew, ensuring safety on set, and troubleshooting any lighting challenges that arise. We're looking for someone who can bring creative solutions and has a strong understanding of various lighting techniques. Candidates should have extensive experience gaffing music videos or similar short-form narrative content. You should be familiar with a range of lighting equipment and possess a valid driver's license. Please share your reel or a portfolio of your gaffing work. We'll be shooting approximately 1-2 days, likely 10-12 hour days. We'll provide all lighting and grip equipment, and a PA will be on hand to assist. Compensation is $250/day flat.
