1st AC, Feature Film (Atlanta, GA)

Independent feature film shooting in Atlanta is looking for a skilled 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming project. This is a gritty crime drama with supernatural elements, think early Coen Brothers meets 'True Detective.' We're aiming for a dark, atmospheric relying on practicals and motivated lighting. You'll work closely with our DP to maintain critical focus, manage camera inventory, and ensure smooth operation on set. We need someone with their own follow focus system and a strong understanding of various camera systems, particularly ARRI and RED. While experience on features is a plus, we're open to talented individuals at any stage of their career who can demonstrate a solid understanding of set etiquette and the technical demands of the 1st AC role. A strong reel showcasing your focus pulling abilities is a must. Shoot dates are approximately 25-30 days, starting late September 2024. Long days are ahead, usually 10-12 hours, but we prioritize proper breaks. Production will provide meals and craft services. This is a paid position, offering $500-800/day depending on experience and equipment. We're a tight-knit crew, passionate about filmmaking, and looking for someone who shares that drive.
