Screenwriter, Dark Pop Music Video (Revenue Share)

Hey Toronto creatives. I'm a Focus Puller working on an independent music video project and we're looking for a talented screenwriter to join our small, but passionate team. This will be for a dark pop music video, think something visually striking like Billie Eilish meets a neo-noir film. We have a compelling song and artist, and we need a strong narrative concept to elevate the visuals and give it that unique edge. Your main responsibility will be developing a concise and impactful treatment or script, approximately 1-2 pages, outlining the story, key scenes, and emotional arc. We're looking for someone who can conceptualize innovative visuals and translate the song's mood into a compelling narrative. While previous music video screenwriting experience is a plus, all experience levels are welcome. What matters most is your ability to tell a story visually and your passion for pushing creative boundaries. Please share any previous writing samples or a short portfolio you might have. This is a partnership opportunity, with compensation structured as revenue share from the finished music video. We're aiming to shoot late April/early May, and we're looking for someone who can commit to a collaborative writing process over the next few weeks. We'll provide the artist's full track and a detailed creative brief to get you started.
