Entry-Level Sound Designer, Web Series

Hey filmmakers, Luis here. I'm bringing on a sound designer for an independent web series filming in Albuquerque. This is a gritty, character-driven drama about a group of friends navigating life in the South Valley, with some surreal elements peppered throughout. We're looking for someone who can really craft the sonic world to enhance both the realism and the more dreamlike sequences. Your main responsibilities will include field recording, foley work, sound effects integration, and dialogue clean-up. We'll need you to have your own basic sound recording gear (boom mic, recorder, headphones, etc.). This is an entry-level position, so we're more interested in your passion, creativity, and a solid reel showcasing your previous sound work, even if it's student projects or short films. You'll be working closely with our editing team. Shoot dates are approximately late October through early December, primarily on weekends or one to two weekdays, about 8-10 hour days. We're offering deferred pay for this project, with good credit and exposure. We'll provide transportation to locations if you don't have your own, and meals on set.
