Sound Designer, Indie Feature (Remote OK!)

Hey everyone, I'm Chloe, a Production Designer working on an exciting independent feature film and we're looking for a talented Sound Designer to join our crew! This project is a gritty, character-driven drama with elements of psychological thriller, set in a unique urban environment. We're aiming for a really immersive and impactful soundscape that enhances the tension and emotional depth without relying on big explosions or typical thriller tropes. Your main responsibilities will include designing, sourcing, and mixing all sound effects (Foley and SFX), ambient sound, and potentially some light dialogue clean-up. We're looking for someone who can really bring a distinct sonic identity to the film. You'll need to have your own sound design workstation and software. An existing reel showcasing your previous sound design work, especially on narrative projects, is a must. All experience levels are welcome to apply! This is a remote-friendly position, though local folks in Portland, Oregon are also encouraged to apply. The post-production timeline is still being finalized, but we anticipate needing your services for approximately 4-6 weeks starting late summer. Compensation is $250 per day flat. We'll provide all picture locked sequences and any necessary temp music tracks. Looking forward to hearing from you!
