Art Assistant, Feature Doc (Bristol)
We need an Art Assistant to hit the ground running on our upcoming independent feature documentary. This project delves into the untold stories of Bristol's historic street art scene, capturing its evolution and impact with a visually rich, engaging tone. We're looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a proactive attitude to support our Art Director and Art Department team. Key responsibilities include assisting with set dressing, prop sourcing (especially period-specific items), organizing the art department workshop, maintaining inventory, and helping with practical effects as needed. You'll be crucial in ensuring our locations are prepared and dressed to perfectly convey the desired atmosphere. Applicants should have at least 2-3 years of experience in art department roles, preferably on documentary or factual productions. Experience with prop procurement and location dressing is a big plus. While specific gear isn't required, a valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle would be beneficial for transporting smaller items. Please include a link to your online portfolio or reel demonstrating relevant work. Shoot dates are anticipated for the second half of October 2026, with some prep starting roughly 1-2 weeks prior. This will be approximately 4-5 weeks of work, based in and around Bristol. Compensation will be discussed during interviews. We provide catering on set and travel reimbursement within the Bristol area.
