Art Coordinator, Doc Feature (NYC)

Documentary Art Department New York, NY mid Budget: $100-200/day

Shooting in New York City from around October 2, 2026 for approximately three weeks, we're seeking a skilled and organized Art Coordinator for an upcoming independent documentary feature. This film explores the vibrant, underground art scene of the late 1980s, focusing on the spaces and materials that defined that era. It's a visually rich project, blending archival footage with present-day interviews and stylized recreations, so attention to detail in the art department is crucial for setting the right tone. As our Art Coordinator, you'll be responsible for assisting the Art Director with prop sourcing, set dressing, and managing art department inventory. This includes tracking budgets for art-related purchases, coordinating deliveries and returns, and ensuring all set elements are ready for shoot days. We're looking for someone with about two to four years of experience in art department roles, preferably on documentary or independent narrative productions. While we'll provide a basic toolkit, having your own reliable transportation (even just for local runs) would be a huge plus. Expect 10-12 hour days, 5-6 days a week. We’re offering a daily rate of $100-200, commensurate with experience. Please submit a resume outlining your relevant experience.
