Chicago, IL based independent production seeking an Art Assistant for an upcoming documentary feature shooting primarily between September 9, 2026 and September 27, 2026, with some potential pick-up days into early October. This compelling project explores the impact of historical events on contemporary urban communities, offering a visually rich narrative. We need someone who can help with set dressing, prop sourcing, and general organization to ensure our on-camera environments are authentic and supportive of the story. Key responsibilities include preparing locations before shoots, assisting with the physical setup and breakdown of art department elements, managing props, and maintaining inventory. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and a proactive attitude. No specific gear is required for this position. We're open to all experience levels; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are most important. Please include any relevant experience or a portfolio if you have one, but it's not strictly necessary. This is a flat rate of $250 per 10-hour day. Lunch will be provided on set. We are a small, collaborative team, and this is a great opportunity to gain experience in documentary production.
