Assistant Editor, Indie Feature Film

Filming wraps in Los Angeles in November 2026 for a gritty independent dramatic feature, and we're looking for an entry-level Assistant Editor to join our post team. This project delves into the underground art scene, exploring themes of identity and creation with a raw, character-driven tone. It's an intense story, and we aim for a visually compelling, emotionally resonant final product. We anticipate about 8-10 weeks of work, potentially starting late November 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on feature film experience. Your key responsibilities will include ingesting footage, organizing media, creating dailies, syncing audio, managing metadata, and preparing projects for the editor. We're looking for someone highly organized, meticulous, and proficient with industry-standard NLEs, preferably DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro. You should have your own laptop capable of handling large media files.
