Editor, Pilot TV Series (Co-Producer)

Seeking a talented Editor to join our independent production, a dramatic pilot for a potential TV series, starting post-production immediately. We need someone who can jump in and shape the narrative of a compelling, character-driven story with a grounded, gritty tone. This isn't a flashy, effects-heavy project, but relies on nuanced performances and strong storytelling. This is a chance to collaborate closely and make a significant creative contribution to a project with network aspirations. We're looking for someone who can work independently but also take direction well, bringing their own artistic vision to the edit. We're aiming for a strong festival run and pitching to distributors. Key responsibilities include assembling initial cuts, refining pacing and rhythm, incorporating sound design elements, and working through revisions with the director. You should have your own editing suite and software, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro, and a good understanding of various video codecs and delivery specifications. Mid-level experience in narrative film or TV editing is essential, and a strong reel demonstrating your storytelling abilities is a must. This is a partnership opportunity, offering co-producer credit and a share of the backend once the project secures distribution. We anticipate about 4-6 weeks of intensive editing work, primarily remotely, but with some in-person sessions in Nashville, TN, as needed. We'll provide all necessary footage, project files, and regular communication.
