Director, Web Series (Drama/Thriller)

Hey filmmakers, I'm looking for a passionate and dedicated Director for an upcoming independent web series. It's a character-driven drama with thriller elements, exploring themes of paranoia and isolation in a big city. We're aiming for a grounded, gritty aesthetic, think 'Mr. Robot' meets 'Black Mirror' but on a micro-budget. It's a really compelling script with a lot of potential. Your main responsibilities will be translating the script to screen, guiding performances, and working closely with the DP and other department heads to achieve our vision. We're looking for someone with a strong visual style and excellent communication skills. You'll need to have experience directing short form narrative content and a solid reel showcasing your work. While we're not expecting you to bring gear, any personal equipment that could benefit the production is a plus, though certainly not required. This is a passion project, so compensation is volunteer-based. We're a tight-knit crew, and we're all very committed to making this project shine. Shoot dates are approximately late July/early August, 6-8 days over a few weekends, mostly in Brooklyn and Queens. We'll provide craft services and transport assistance if needed within NYC.
